HealthFirst-GVSS Eye Reshaper - Lasik Alternative?
You've heard of retainers for your teeth. Now you can get them for your eyes. HealthFirst reporter Leslie LoBue says these contact lenses are an option to Lasik surgery for vision correction.
Depending on the child, some kids as young as ten have used the Gentle Vision Shaping system or GVSS, but that is really just a small part of the WOW factor here.
Fifteen year old April Townsend started using the GVSS vision retainers six months ago- with immediate results. "When I came in the first day and I took them out, I could see everything and it was really amazing because it felt like my eye, only I saw like I did with my glasses."

"I love the concept of, I put something on, a vision retainer on at night, I go to bed, I don't do anything, I wake up in the morning, I take it out and I can see," said Dr. Matthew Martin, an optometrist with Auburn Optical.
