Lasik Freebie For Oscar Losers

With their lavish lifestyles and multi-million-dollar pay cheques, there's not much a Hollywood star wants for.

But organisers of tomorrow night's Oscars ceremony evidently feel that the celebrities deserve a little bit more.

Companies have been slugging it out to get their products into goodie bags to be handed out to the nominees and presenters, who will get freebies worth as much as £60,000.

The bags will include such essentials as a £20,000 voucher for cosmetic surgery and laser eye surgery, a pair of diamond-encrusted flipflops and £2,800 worth of skincare products made from caviar.

There is also a £1,700 three-carat diamond watch, a diamondencrusted Victoria's Secret bra and panty set, worth £5,000, and an £850 cashmere throw. G3 and Motorola have provided their latest handsets.
